Steve Skinner — Our Founder & Visionary
Steve Skinner’s love for transportation began long before Skinner Transportation, Inc. was ever a company — it started in high school, where a passion was ignited that would shape an entire industry legacy. In 1992, Steve turned that passion into purpose, founding Skinner Transportation, Inc. with a simple but powerful commitment: to deliver high-quality transportation services with integrity and excellence.
Through his unwavering dedication to superior customer service and meaningful partnerships with his clients, Steve built more than a business — he built a culture of trust, safety, and pride. Under his leadership, Skinner Transportation grew from a humble two-truck operation into a thriving regional carrier, a testament to the vision and values of the man who started it all.
Steve is no longer with us on this earth but his spirit lives on in every mile driven, every client served, and every member of the Skinner Transportation family he helped shape. He was not just our founder — he was our foundation.
